What do you need to put a turbo in a VW GTi VR6 1998?
I have a 2.8 gti vr6 all stock parts. For sure I am gonna install an exhaust system and a new intake very soon. Hopefully a turbo next year. Do you guys know what parts i need to do this? What do you need to put a turbo in a VW GTi VR6 1998?Usually when you buy a turbo it is easiest to select a kit from an aftermarket distributor. This is a rough list, but besides the turbocharger itself you will need a new exhaust manifold, wastegate, blow-off or diverter valve, boost controller, lines for oil and/or coolant, a downpipe, an upgraded fuel pump, injectors, ECU software, and intercooler and all the associated piping. You will very possibly not be able to use a regular VR6 intake and exhaust with a turbo VR6, so just start saving if that what you know you want to do.What do you need to put a turbo in a VW GTi VR6 1998?Head over to VWVortex and do a little reading and you will know exactly what parts you will need.pf changs locations
