Vw polo 2001 driver electric window wont work most of the time?

Hi I have a 2001 vw polo 1.4 petrol. When operating the passenger window from the driver side, the window seems slightly slow to move up/down. But main problem is that it can take 20/30 presses to get the driver window to open. Once opened it goes up almost with every touch. But it simply will not go down at every touch? I've tried a new switch but no success. ThanksVw polo 2001 driver electric window wont work most of the time?If it's working sometimes and not others it has to be the wiring or the connections in the motor, (or motor itself).Vw polo 2001 driver electric window wont work most of the time?hiya well the slow operation on the passenger side is 1 of 2 things,

the window may be sticking in the rubber runner, normally you have to take the door casing off and spray a Greece in to the rubber, then operate the window a few times to work this in. the second option is a tired motor. but all ways do the first option to begin with.

the drivers window , well to me that sounds like a bad connection some where. if again you take the door casing off you may find a trapped wire or at least the problem.Vw polo 2001 driver electric window wont work most of the time?I used to have a similar problem on my polo. Try slamming the door really hard because the motor might be sticky, although this probably won't fix it for good it should unstick it for a while.
