I put the key in the lock to unlock the car and the alarm went off.It stopped after a while and i tried the key in the ignition and alarm went off again,opened the hood and the alarm went off yet again! can I disarm the car alarm(its stock/factory no remote)and still start the car?How to premantly disarm the car alarm on a 97 vw jetta?on the drivers side, up under the dash, there is a raw aluminum box about 3 inches by 1 inch by 6 inches, with one bold holding it up, and one plug connector, this is the alarm control module, unplug this, and jumper the two big red wires together on the plug, now the car will start.

there is no raw alumium box where you said. I can not start my 1997 vw JettaGL because of the alarm. have tried all tricks. How do i disconnect alarm? Help!

How to premantly disarm the car alarm on a 97 vw jetta?If its market product retrofitted, then try and diconnect the socket to the electronic box or the siren unit. If its an original factory equipment, you could disconnect the alarm horn electric socket or fuse, easy with the socet.
