Where can I buy a new motor for a 1961 vw bug?

I have put in a rebuild mortor in my bug and it last one week and blew up, I am looking for a brand new turn key motor from company that is knowen for there service, if possbile would like to keep the price under 2,500 if i can't that is find web site or any further information anyone can supply would be great help! That company has since gone under ... I've been searching and searching and haven't been able to find another turnkey close to that price.



But we did purchase a long block and a brand new turnkey from thesamba, midamerica motorworks and jc whitney all have brand new turnkey engines for sale - but they're higher than the 2500 and freight charges will apply.

www.mooreparts.com I suggested them to some one needing seat belts and also check out HotVWs magazine for other vendors. You could possibly get a really good long block with a great carburetor and get some higher mileage. I would also put in a performance distributer. Try those sites and if they don't carry engines as them who they feel is the best. It is easy to find an engine so don't worry. If they do not file a complaint with the BBB, and have the consumer action reporter of your local news station report on them.
