How do i get my vw remote to work again?

i just changed the battery now i have to open/close doors manually..i only have one key..read a few things that required 2 keys..anyway to program mine or do i have to go to dealer n get ripped off?How do i get my vw remote to work again?in most owner manuals tell you how to re-associate you remote with the car again when changing the battery out in the remote.

This normally requires 2 key like what you were reading, one in the ignition and one in the door lock. I don't remember the exact procedure, but I know it works, I have done this twice so far.

Also don cheese on the batteries, the cheaper one turn out to be duds in the long run.How do i get my vw remote to work again?I had a similar problem (with a Chevy remote) a few months ago. The clip holding the battery had broken it's electrical contact with the circuit board, so the remote would not work. I fixed it with a small pencil type soldering iron, taking care not to get the circuit board too hot or be sloppy with the solder. I hope this is the same problem you have. How do i get my vw remote to work again? On older remote, anytime you change the battery, the remote need to be reprogramed. On newer remote the memory will remain within the remote even with battery removed. Any VW independent shop who has a Vag scanner should be able to program the remote. It's a 2 minute procedure as long as the remote works. The information is for A4 and up body only.
