Your car has something called an immobilizer that communicates with a little transmitter located in your main flip keys and even your valet key. By bringing all of the keys you still have with your car to the dealer, they can do a simple procedure that will clear out all of the currently approved keys, and change the code to something that only the keys you still have will know. Although doing this won't prevent whoever stole your purse from entering your car using the door lock, they won't be able to drive off with your car.Someone stole my purse and my vw beetle car keys where in there? While it is not that hard to just take the door locks apart, swap 2 tumbler plates, and modify the key, it is not necessary.

The easiest thing to do is just install a kill switch.

Have someone locate the ignition wire from the ignition switch, under the dash.

You can tell because it will go on and off with the ignition, when you use a test light.

Then you cut the wire and spice in a little toggle switch mounted under the dash.

Whenever you want to use the car, you have to then remember to turn the toggle switch on, and turn it off when you are done.

But no one else will know about it, and no one else will be able to drive it.

Even others in the car won't see you operating the secret switch.

If you grow tired of using it, you can just leave it one all the time, and it won't hurt anything.Someone stole my purse and my vw beetle car keys where in there?Changing the locks is going to be more expensive then you think. Best suggestion, I could make is ask the cops what you could do. VW keys are pretty much the same, so they may not even know you have a Beetle.

Also, if you were working, how did they steal your purse? You would think they would hold up the gas station.
