I have a 2002 vw polo and the turbo keeps cutting out?

I have a 2002 vw polo, and when ever I go out after say half an hour the turbo cuts out, and compleatly stops working, but if I pull over and turn the car off then on again it works, does anyone no the problem, and if so how expencive would it be to get it fixed?I have a 2002 vw polo and the turbo keeps cutting out?The only VW Polo which is fitted with a turbo is the Diesel version so if it is not badged 'TDI' it does not have the dreaded turbo.
