How can I change the oil on my 1999 VW Passat myself?

There is cover on the bottom of this model vehicle. I'm wondering if there's a way to remove that cover myself, so that I can change the oil. Or maybe there's a resource that will tell me how to do this?How can I change the oil on my 1999 VW Passat myself?For the 2.8L 30V:

Ensure that when you put it back on your slide the front back into the slots then put on the nuts.



This cover is to protect the engine but also for better cooling and aerodynamics.
