You can buy brand spanking new VW Campervans here in the UK... You can get them from Danbury I believe. Try calling Cool Air in the UK on 01322 33 50 50, I believe they may have started selling them too.

They have a modern Polo 1.4 engine (still in the rear though) with an ugly radiator on the front.
