Can you turn the engine off on a VW Beetle from under the car?

I locked keys in car while it was running. Its got full tank of gas. Its way to expensive to get locksmith. Need to buy some time. How can I disable or shut off the engine from under the car. Obviously i cant get hood open. Can you turn the engine off on a VW Beetle from under the car?Yes, without going under the car. No spare key huh?

You're SOL.

If it has rubber fuel lines, (not the hard plastic) maybe you could pinch it off and stop the flow of gas to the engine?

Then, after you get everything working right, make a copy of the door key, and zip-tie it under the car somewhere. Can you turn the engine off on a VW Beetle from under the car?wel try picking the lock with a wire hanger maybe even call cops and really buy another set of keys to leave at home in case these links might help you learn how to open lock doorsCan you turn the engine off on a VW Beetle from under the car?

If you can open the front hood, you will have access to all of the fuses behind the dash. If you don't see them they are probably covered by a contoured piece of cardboard. Carefully remove each fuse. I am pretty sure that one of them goes to the ignition switch. Once that one is removed that should hopefully stall the motor. If not, look for some big red colored or just really thick wires. If you have a voltage meter or 12v test light that would be very helpful to find which one has the voltage. Those most likely lead directly from the battery. If you can get those loose from the link. That would definately do it. Please Be VERY, VERY careful to tape the ends of those wires %26amp; keep them away from any ground or metal... or you could fry your whole electrical system! Sure hope this helps. Bluejay
the cops in my town will do it for u free, they have some weird tool
